The story behind the name

After a run through the woods on our property, I was walking back to the house and looked up. Through the canopy of trees, patches of blue were peeking through — vivid against the green. That image stuck. When it came time to name the cabin, there was only one choice.

The property

Peek-a-Blue sits on 3 private acres in the Catskill Mountains. The kind of place where you wake up to mountain views and fall asleep to absolute silence. Three bedrooms, all queens, sleeping 8. A 6-person Finnish sauna. A wood stove for cold nights. A wraparound deck and stone fire pit for everything else.

Location

We're 5 min from Margaretville, 10 min from Andes, and under 20 minutes from both Belleayre and Plattekill ski resorts. Multiple hiking trailheads are within a 15-minute drive. 2.5 hrs from NYC.

Why we built this site

We love hosting on Airbnb — it's how we got started and how most of our guests find us. But Airbnb charges guests a ~14% service fee on every booking. This site lets returning guests and referrals book directly, saving that fee entirely. Same cabin, same host, same experience. Just a better price.
